Sadé Muhammad the Chief Marketing Officer of TIME, where she oversees all integrated marketing and branded content for the global media company that reaches an audience of 120 million—the largest in its 100 year history—across platforms. 

Since joining TIME in February 2023, Muhammad has developed and delivered go-to-market strategies to revenue growth and impact across TIME’s live events, editorial franchises, digital products and more. In the last year, she drove new partnerships to support TIME’s growing  custom events business. With premium offerings like TIME100 Talks and the TIME Impact House, a new event series aimed at creating intimate, highly productive spaces that allow the world’s biggest changemakers and mission-aligned brands to convene and create meaningful change, TIME’s custom events business has generated a 55%+ year-over-year event revenue growth with brands including Verizon, UBS, Meta, PMI, Nissan, and many others. 

With over a decade of experience, Muhammad’s expertise spans marketing, digital transformation, ad products, and organizational change through DEI. She founded the Representation & Inclusion Practice at Forbes, a revenue-generating ad business centered on equity as a path to marketing innovation and cultural change. 

A strong cross-functional leader and creative, her work has been celebrated in Digiday, Adweek, and PRSANY, and she has forged strategic partnerships with JP Morgan Wealth Management, UBS, LVMH, and more. Muhammad was named to The ColorComm 28, celebrating 28 Black Women in communications making history in 2023. She was awarded the 30 Under 30 Award by the INMA for Achievement in Advertising in 2020. Prior to TIME, Muhammad held various roles at Forbes and NBCUniversal.

Muhammad holds a degree in Magazine Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She sits on the Newhouse 44 Advisory Committee, the Syracuse University Office of Multicultural Advancement Advisory Council Syracuse University Office of Multicultural Advancement Advisory Council, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
