Rachel Sprecher

Executive Director of the Office of Partnerships and Development, Atlanta Public Schools

Rachel Sprecher currently serves as the Atlanta Public Schools Executive Director of the Office of Partnerships and Development. In this role, Rachel is responsible for facilitating school and districtwide partnerships to support 50,000 beautiful students, as well as fundraising to bridge the gap where APS general funds run short for unfunded priorities. Prior to this role, Rachel served as the Grants Coordinator for APS where she oversaw all district grant processes including researching, writing, reporting, and managing federal, state, corporate, and foundation grants. Previously, Rachel served as the Coordinator of Grants and Special Projects for Wilson County Public Schools in North Carolina where she coordinated district grants management as well as community engagement efforts. Additionally, Rachel worked for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland as a Partnership Manager where she was responsible for parent engagement and business-school partnerships. Rachel received a B.A. from the University of Maryland in American Studies and a M.S. in Professional Writing from Towson University. A native of Rockville, Maryland, Rachel, her spouse Matthew, and dog, Louie now call Atlanta home. She is active in her community and serves on the Changemakers Board for Hands on Atlanta, on the Board of Advisors for Lab Atlanta and the Empty Stocking Fun, and is a graduate of the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2019.
