Conal Byrne is the Chief Executive Officer of the iHeartMedia Digital Audio Group, which includes the company’s fast-growing and high-profile podcasting business, as well as the industry-leading iHeartRadio digital service; the company’s digital sites, services, newsletters and programs; and its digital advertising technology companies, including Jelli, RadioJar, Unified, Voxnest and the recently-announced Triton Digital acquisition, upon its completion.

Under Byrne’s leadership, iHeartMedia is now the No. 1 podcast publisher globally according to Podtrac – the podcast industry’s third-party measurement source, unique listeners, revenue and earnings. He is responsible for the operations and performance of the iHeartPodcast Network, including more than 750 iHeartRadio original shows across a wide variety of genres, amassing more than 253 million downloads a month.

In addition, Byrne has brokered partnerships with some of the biggest names in entertainment to launch podcast slates with iHeartRadio including long-term ventures with Shondaland Audio and Shonda Rhimes; Grim & Mild and Aaron Mahnke; the Big Money Players Network and Will Ferrell; and The Black Effect, in partnership with Charlamagne Tha God.

Prior to joining iHeartMedia, Byrne was President and CEO of Stuff Media, Inc., which was acquired by iHeartMedia in October 2018.  Prior to Stuff Media, Byrne served as Senior Vice President of Digital Media for Discovery Communications, where he ran digital for all of Discovery’s U.S. networks’ sites and social platforms and led, among multiple other key product initiatives, the launch of Discovery VR.
