Brad Hanson

President and CEO, Meta Financial Group and MetaBank

Brad Hanson has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Meta Financial Group, Inc. and MetaBank since 2005. With more than 25 years of experience in banking, payment cards, and financial technology, Brad has been widely recognized for the significant role he played in the development of the prepaid card industry. Brad joined Meta Financial in May 2004 where he founded Meta Payment Systems. After serving as President of MetaBank and Meta Payment Systems, Brad was appointed Chief Executive Officer in October 2018. Before joining Meta Financial, he serves as Senior Vice President at BankFirst where he gained experience in retail banking, mortgage lending, and credit cards in addition to managing the technology and project management functions of the bank. Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of South Dakota and has served on various non-profit boards including his current role as a member of the Global Board of Operation HOPE.
