Atul Tandon

Atul Tandon, CEO of Opportunity International United States, has built, managed and scaled consumer banks, nonprofit organizations and social enterprises in almost 50 countries, over the past 34 years. Prior to joining Opportunity, Atul founded the Tandon Institute, a global advisory firm, which helps nonprofit and social enterprises accelerate their performance and impact. He also has held senior leadership roles with United Way Worldwide and World Vision, where he led global initiatives to expand fundraising in 25 countries. In addition, Atul has served on the board of VisionFund International, World Vision’s microfinance network. As a senior executive with Citibank, he launched consumer banking franchises in India and later held several US-based positions, including leading Global Branch Distribution Director for the bank’s worldwide operations. Atul has an MBA from the University of Delhi and a certificate in governance from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
