Alexandra Wagner serves as the Brand Purpose Marketing leader for Truist Financial Corporation, helping to amplify and accelerate Truist brand distinction through purpose and Care.
She has most recently helped create the innovative brand ad campaign of “Real Stories of Care” which broke the typical brand ad mold by featuring the real stories of real clients and real teammates and their authentic caring relationships.
She leads key purpose distinction programs at Truist, including the uniquely positioned Money and Mindset financial education platform on Truist.com
Prior to this role, as Director of Purpose Integration and as Chief Purpose Ambassador, she led the Purpose Integration team along with the grassroots Purpose Ambassador program to catalyze purpose from the inside out.
Alex began her banking career in 1996, under Citi – Smith Barney and Robinson-Humphrey, on the client-facing side of the business, in the international institutional equity capital markets area. After helping to expand SunTrust’s Sports and Entertainment Specialty Banking group, she ultimately moved to the enterprise side of the business and in her intrapreneur spirit, built a number of new departments, including Experiential Marketing with Meetings, Sponsorships and Events, as well as Volunteerism and Corporate Responsibility.
As a multi-national, Alex is multi-lingual, and has lived and worked in Europe throughout her life, having been raised in Germany and traveled extensively in the world. She received her education at the University of South Carolina, Universite de Grenoble (France) and the University of Georgia. She served on a number of professional and community impact boards including MPI, SITE and Quality Care for Children. She is a strong advocate for people with disabilities and those on the spectrum.She is passionate about bringing individual human potential to life and her sense of purpose is to amplify and accelerate good, so that more people can live fulfilled and joyful lives. She is married with one son and lives in Atlanta, GA.
