Susan Ifill

Chief Executive Officer, Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City

Susan M. Ifill is the Chief Executive Officer for Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City (NHSNYC). She leads a team of housing professionals responsible for addressing the issues of affordable housing and fighting displacement in NYC neighborhoods through education, grants, and affordable loans. She joined NHSNYC in 2010 as the Chief Operating and Financial Officer; prior to joining NHSNYC, Susan was the Senior Vice President and Chief Retail Officer for Carver Federal Savings Bank in New York.

Susan retired from Bank of America in 2006 after 28 years. In her last role as SVP and Premier Banking Market Manager, she led a group of Client Managers in the Premier Banking & Investment Division of Bank of America, responsible for the growth of a $3 billion portfolio and new client acquisition for Hudson & Essex County in New Jersey. Susan has served on numerous not for profit boards over the years. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Cambridge College in Boston, and on the Board of Directors for Habitat NYC Community Development Fund. She is an Advisory Board member for the MPA program at Kean University, Ocwen Financial Group, and First Republic Bank. In addition, Susan volunteers as a judge for the National Junior League’s Annual Leadership
& Vision Award.

Susan did her undergraduate work at Southeastern Massachusetts University. She received her Masters in Management and certification in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Cambridge College; she is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and a member of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration.
