Anthony C. Hood, PhD

Assistant Professor of Management, Collat School of Business

Anthony C. Hood, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Collat School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Hood received his BS and MBA from UAB’s Collat School of Business and his PhD from the University of Alabama. He is also a graduate of the Community Health Leadership program of the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. 

Dr. Hood uses his platform to promote inclusive innovation in the areas of educational, community, and economic development. Dr. Hood also leads efforts in the areas of community engagement and team dynamics for the UAB Center for Clinical and Translational Science and is an entrepreneur, having founded NHabitBham, a social venture aimed at reducing blight and stimulating investment in underserved and underresourced communities. His work has received a number of recognitions including a UAB Community Health Innovation Award and a Game Changer Award from the Vulcans Community Awards.
