Alex Allen
Global Head of Inclusion and Engagement | Cisco Systems
Alex Allen is a seasoned human capital strategist and executive consultant, currently serving as the Global Head of Inclusion and Engagement at Cisco Systems. In his role, he designs and implements trust-building strategies that drive business transformation in the age of AI.
In 2019, Alex launched Cisco’s transformative program, “The Proximity Initiative,” which has informed the organization on new ways to increase engagement, practice inclusive leadership, and build organizational trust. Alex’s efforts in this area underscore his passion for utilizing inclusive behaviors as a business differentiator to not only foster a more inclusive work environment but also amplify business outcomes and drive innovation.
Alex has received three North American Employee Engagement Awards and a Bronze Stevie. He has been recognized twice by Inspiring Workplaces as one of the top 101 influencers globally in employee engagement and experience. Before joining Cisco, Alex gained extensive experience in Human Resource Leadership roles at BroadSoft, Under Armour, Nestle, The Home Depot, and General Electric.
His commitment to social impact and inclusion extends beyond his professional role, as shown by his founding of a Special Needs Soccer Clinic in 2014, which serves children with mental and physical disabilities. This initiative, inspired by Alex’s personal experience as a parent of a child with cerebral palsy, continues to thrive and expand.
Alex’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Wilmington University. He completed the Chief Human Resources Officer program at the Wharton School and became a fellow of the Stakeholder Leadership & Governance Institute.
I removed the “Cisco Confidential” label at the top since it’s a document footer, not part of the bio. The apostrophes are consistent again. The company’s official spelling is “Nestlé” if you want to correct that.
