Courtenay Brown

Courtenay Brown is an economics reporter at Axios and co-author of its flagship daily economics newsletter, Axios Macro. She covers the U.S. and global economies, with a focus on breaking stories about central banks, financial markets, monetary policy and international trade.

Previously, Courtenay was Axios’ markets and business reporter, where she launched the Axios Markets and Axios Closer newsletters.

Before joining Axios, she produced and wrote for CNBC’s Squawk Box, the network’s flagship morning business news program.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
