Rulon Washington serves as the East Region’s Executive Director of Mortgage Sustainability and Business Execution for Wells Fargo Home Lending Customer Growth Segments. The team’s purpose is to perform coordinated outreach that advances the mission of creating and sustaining equitable homeownership.
Within his role as East Region Executive Director, Rulon supports 24 states with the additional responsibility of handling over 850 nonprofit housing counseling, legal aid, and local government relationships. His responsibilities include the advancement of housing relationships at both the national and community level, promoting homeownership creation and sustainability in markets of greatest need, and supporting Wells Fargo’s national nonprofit engagement strategy. In addition, Rulon supports Wells Fargo’s Philanthropy and Community Impact, Corporate Communications, and Government Relations & Public Policy teams through strategic outreach.
Rulon has been a part of the Wells Fargo Corporation since 2006 and has an array of experience within multiple business lines, including stints in auto finance, financial services, philanthropy, and home mortgage. Rulon also serves as a Wells Fargo media spokesperson specializing in housing, with appearances on Yahoo Finance, NBC News NOW, and NBC’s Today Show.
