Head of Small Business Growth Philanthropy


Kimelyn Harris is the Head of Small Business Growth Philanthropy for the Wells Fargo Foundation, one of the largest corporate foundations in the U.S. In this role, she leads programs that unlock access to capital, networks, and knowledge for under-resourced small businesses. At Wells Fargo, the mission of the Small Business Growth team is to advance economic mobility for entrepreneurs, stimulating job creation and creating thriving communities. Kimelyn collaborates with leaders across Wells Fargo to drive social impact while also building and strengthening partnerships with key organizations, institutions, and community advocates focused on creating impactful and sustainable change.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Kimelyn spent more than two decades in leadership roles at Bank of America, most recently within the Bank of America Foundation leading ongoing efforts to advance economic opportunity, increase access to quality healthcare, and drive social equality. Her extensive leadership experience encompasses risk and compliance, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), client services and operations, and philanthropy, enabling her to bring a holistic perspective to her work.

During her time with the Bank of America Foundation, Kimelyn led the strategy, development, and execution of a five-year commitment to advance social equality and economic opportunity. This effort involved operationalizing strategies across nearly one hundred markets, collaborating extensively with stakeholders across all sectors, and establishing metrics for measuring impact. Kimelyn spearheaded an ongoing, groundbreaking health equity collaboration, strengthened employee engagement, giving, and volunteerism for over two hundred teammates worldwide, and developed strategies for more efficient grantmaking. She also brings experience in product development and process improvement across various lines of business, including Consumer, Small and Business Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Treasury.

Kimelyn lives in Charlotte, NC with her family, where she serves on the Board of Advisors for Crittenton, a nonprofit provider of health, educational, and social services for families in need.
