Janaye Ingram

Director of Community Partner Programs and Engagement, Airbnb

Called an “impressive leader who plays an important role in our progress toward the mountaintop,” by former First Lady Michelle Obama, Janaye Ingram has spent her career empowering people and creating change. Currently, Janaye is the Director of Community Partner Programs and Engagement for Airbnb, a home sharing platform that connects travelers with unique homes and experiences around the world while creating economic and entrepreneurship opportunities for Hosts and communities. In this role, she leads the company’s $100M Community Fund and also leads Airbnb’s multicultural community engagement initiatives.

Prior to her role at Airbnb, Janaye served as the Head of Logistics and a lead organizer for the first Women’s March on Washington on January 21st, 2017, in addition to being a co-founder of Women’s March, Inc. She has also held key roles with nonprofits in New York and New Jersey, including serving as the National Executive Director of the civil rights organization, National Action Network (NAN).

Janaye’s work has landed her on many lists, including being named one of the 2017 Glamour Magazine Women of the Year along with her fellow Women’s March organizers, The Inaugural #Woke100 by ESSENCE Magazine, christened one of the Female Faces of the New Civil Rights Movement by Black Entertainment Television and a New Jersey Women’s History Month Service Honoree by the New Jersey State Assembly. She has also had appearances and features in media outlets, including: NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, Forbes, Vogue, W Magazine, ESPN, BET and TV One, among others. She has spoken around the world on issues of justice, equity and human rights.

Janaye holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from The New School University. She serves on various boards and as an Equity Advisor for Sephora.
