Steve Pargett is a storyteller, strategist, and futurist focused on ensuring that Black communities and other underrepresented groups don’t just survive the future — they lead it. His work sits at the intersection of narrative, technology, and social change, drawing from years spent building campaigns inside both grassroots movements and national organizations. Throughout his career, Steve has used the power of story to shift perception, build influence, and open doors for communities long pushed to the margins.

Over the years, Steve has built a reputation for helping organizations stand taller — developing brands, creative strategies, and visual identities that cut through noise and reflect the full weight of their mission. He has led teams delivering everything from film and design systems to digital campaigns powered by emerging technology. His creative practice blends culture, strategy, and a relentless curiosity about what’s coming next.

Today, Steve helps lead Dream Machine Innovation Lab, an organization founded to prepare communities for the age of A.I. and exponential technologies. Through their national programming like the AI x Library Project, and an upcoming Executive Leadership Program — he is working to ensure that underestimated communities have both the awareness and the access needed to shape the next era of human progress.
