Senior Managing Director and Senior Vice President
Scenario Adebesin is a dynamic and visionary thought leader with over 30 years of transformative impact in public accounting, audit, compliance, and environmental and social governance (ESG) in the private and government sectors. She has championed economic equity and empowerment for underserved communities—driving progress through affordable housing, equitable access to capital for small businesses, workforce development, financial education, and innovative services designed to foster economic self-sufficiency and generational wealth.
Scenario currently serves as the Senior Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Compliance & Exam Management at Truist—one of the nation’s largest financial institutions, with over $500 billion in assets and more than 50,000 teammates serving clients across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. In this role, she leads enterprise-wide CRA compliance and regulatory exam strategies that drive meaningful lending, investments, services, and partnerships in communities with varying needs, reinforcing Truist’s mission to inspire and build better lives and communities.
Prior to joining Truist, Scenario served as the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Senior Vice President for Fifth Third Bancorp, where she developed innovative, purpose-driven strategies that advanced economic inclusion, social equity, and sustainable community development. She also held leadership roles in community development and CRA mortgage lending at several public and private institutions.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in public administration, combining financial expertise with a deep understanding of public sector leadership and policy implementation.
Scenario serves on the board of CityLink Center, CRA Advisory Committee of the National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders (NAAHL), Truist CRA Oversight & Investment Committee (Secretary), and the Truist National Community Development Advisory Group. She is also an active member of the Charlotte (NC) Chapter of The Links, Inc., and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., exemplifying a lifelong dedication to service and social impact.
