Rosalyn B. Clemens currently serves as Senior Manager for Redevelopment and Revitalization at the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County, Maryland, providing oversight for major mixed-use redevelopment projects in underserved communities, affordable housing development and homeownership assistance. Her passion is building partnerships with the private sector to empower residents and build wealth in poor and underserved communities. Notable accomplishments are the creation and successful implementation of several homeownership initiatives, including the “Down Payment on Your Dream” Program and the “My Home” Program in Prince George’s County, Maryland. These Programs have leveraged public sector dollars and partnered with private financial institutions to create over 1,000 new homebuyers. In 2013, .the My HOME Program received the Housing Association of Non Profit Developers Achievement Award for the most Innovative Government Affordable Housing Initiative. Most recently she has created a partnership with the nonprofit community, the State of Maryland, the Town of Fairmount Heights, and Prince George’s County to assemble land and develop the first Net Zero Energy Housing District in Maryland, with the goal of creating a model for high value, sustainable, and energy efficient affordable housing development. Ms. Clemens has a Masters Degree in Economics from American University and a B.S. Degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.
