Nick May

Assistant Director, Federal Trade Commission’s Southeast Regional Office

Nick May is the Assistant Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Southeast Regional Office in Atlanta.  Nick supervises investigations and enforcement actions relating to unfair and deceptive business practices, including matters involving payment processors, online lenders, and debt relief schemes.  Previously at the FTC, Nick was a litigator in the Southeast and Western Regions, where he worked on cases involving the payments industry ecosystem.  Nick works jointly with US Attorneys’ Offices on payments cases and has trained prosecutors abroad on best practices in payments investigations.  Before joining the FTC, Nick worked as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.  He is a graduate of Pomona College and Vanderbilt Law School.
