Chief Executive Officer, AI for the People

Mutale Nkonde, is currently a Visiting Policy fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute, and CEO of AI for the People.

AI for the People is a public sector Responsible AI Team that focuses on product policy.Nkonde started her advising congress in 2019 when AI for the People led the advocacy for the introduction of the Algorithmic Accountability Act to the US House of Representatives.Then in 2023 was honored to take part in Senator Schumer’s AI Insight Panel on privacy and liability.

She has a Bachelors Science Degree from Leeds Metropolitan University and a Masters Degree from Columbia University. Nkonde is a much sought after media commentator, speaker she has held fellowships at Harvard and Stanford.
