Michael Martino

Michael Martino is executive vice president and head of Banking Inclusion & Partnerships, Consumer, Small & Business Banking (CSBB) at Wells Fargo.
In his role, he leads strategy for CSBB banking inclusion and partnerships by advancing financial inclusion and delivering solutions to meet the needs of all customers and communities across the financial spectrum, including the unbanked and underserved. This includes the Banking Inclusion Initiative (BII), Wells Fargo’s commitment to help more people gain access to affordable, mainstream bank accounts, and leading strategic chamber and affinity partnerships aimed at helping grow small businesses.
Prior to joining CSBB, Michael was head of the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Investment Contact Center (ICC), where he oversaw contact center operations in four U.S. locations and Manila, Philippines.
Michael joined Wells Fargo in 1990 and has supported its contact centers since 1994. Before moving to WIM in 2016, he managed contact center operations for wholesale/treasury services, digital/mobile, premier banking, military banking, and home equity.
He graduated from the CBA Graduate School of Retail Banking at Furman University and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
Currently, Michael serves on the board of directors for United Way of Greater Charlotte. He previously served on the boards of Crisis Assistance Ministry in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the YMCA in Roanoke, Virginia. He was also a United Way loan executive and a member of the South Carolina Association of Urban Bankers.
