Matt Shulman

CEO and Managing Partner, The Ardent Companies

Matt Shulman is the CEO and Managing Partner of The Ardent Companies, a privately held real estate investment and asset management firm. Based in Atlanta and New York City, Ardent has over $1 billion in real estate assets under management across nearly 30 states since its inception in 2012. Prior to forming Ardent, Mr. Shulman co-founded Fairway Capital Partners in 2007 and later became a Managing Director with Rialto Capital in 2010.

Mr. Shulman received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in real estate finance from New York University. After graduate school, Mr. Shulman then served as an adjunct professor of real estate finance at his alma mater NYU.

Mr. Shulman serves on the boards of the Atlanta Real Estate Collaborative and its affiliate Open Doors Atlanta, which consist of individuals with extensive real estate experience who are dedicated to ending homelessness and providing affordable housing in Atlanta. Mr. Shulman also serves on the boards of Emerging Leaders at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Usher 1F Collaborative, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. In addition to his board duties, he is an active supporter of The Epstein School and a Wexner Fellow.
