Laura MacKenzie
Senior Vice President, Global Prepaid Product Management
Laura Mackenzie is Senior Vice President Global Prepaid Product Management and is responsible for developing, executing, leading and adapting the global product strategy for prepaid and for driving the global product management and performance of current prepaid product solutions in line with the prepaid business strategy. She is also responsible for driving product solutions to deliver Mastercard’s commitment to the World Bank to include 500 Million customers onto the formal economy by 2020 through the development and deployment of innovative products and delivery channels.
Previously, Mackenzie spent over a decade leading Mastercard’s relationships with key U.S. merchants, most recently as the SVP Core Merchants in U.S. Market Development, leading the retail, fuel, travel, restaurant, drug and grocery vertical teams for Mastercard. During her 10 years managing Mastercard merchant relationships, she was instrumental in driving new business, expanding relationships and identifying broader opportunities to deliver results with Mastercard’s key merchant partners.
Mackenzie joined the Mastercard Global Commercial Products team in 2004 as part of the Small and Medium Enterprise Segment where she played an integral role in merchant partner development and launch of the Small Business Easy Savings reward program.
Before joining Mastercard, she spent seven years abroad in London and Johannesburg working in banking, e-commerce and loyalty. Before making a move to the financial sector, Mackenzie had a successful career with globally recognized luxury fashion and retail designers Ralph Lauren, Anne Klein and Nicole Farhi in New York and London.
Laura received a BA from Skidmore College and her MBA in International Marketing from Columbia Business School.
