Bobby Gueh, Ed.S, NCC

Professional School Counselor, Gwinnett County Public Schools

Mr. Bobby Gueh is currently a professional school counselor at Lanier High School. He’s been a school counselor for fourteen years; eight of wish was spent at the middle school level in New Jersey, and he is currently in his sixth year in the Gwinnet County Public School System. Some of Mr. Gueh’s professional experiences include working as a counselor for young men in the prison system of Trenton, New Jersey, working as a family advocate for the Juvenile Justice Commission of New Jersey, running several mentor programs for young men in the New Jersey, adjunct instructor at The College of New Jersey, and he also worked as a Family Therapist at The College of New Jersey for several years. Mr. Gueh has presented at local and national academic workshops on issues pertaining to education. He has been a keynote motivational speaker at professional and student leadership conferences, community-base and religious establishments. Mr. Gueh holds a Bachelors’ degree in History Education from South Carolina State University, a Master’s degree in Counseling Education from The College of New Jersey, as well as an Educational Specialist degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The College of New Jersey. He is a member of ASCA (American School Counseling Association), and GSCA (Georgia School Counseling Association).

Mr. Gueh is married to his beautiful wife Kia, and has three sons. In his spare time he enjoys playing and coaching basketball, reading, and volunteering his time in various humanitarian causes. As a native of Liberia, West Africa, his journey has been long and hard, but he believes that if one has a dream, and a passion to do something in life, they should do everything within their power and abilities to achieve it; QUITING IS NOT AN OPTION. He also believes in the village concept; “It takes a village to raise our children”.Mr. Gueh has a deep passion and dedication for working with all students, and believes that every child is equipped with what it takes to be GREAT; and it is his life’s passion to help them realize their personal greatness.
